Who can use CampusLift?

Only currently registered students at participating universities. We verify via university email, student number cross-check with the registrar, and proof of registration. Non-students, alumni, and staff cannot sign up.

Is Campus-ParkMe really free?

Yes. ParkMe is a standalone companion app that's free forever. You don't even need to book rides to use it — it's our way of making every campus better for every student.

What IoT sensors are installed in driver cars?

A small OBD-II dongle (plugs into the car's diagnostic port in 30 seconds) streams speed, engine health, fuel, tyre pressure, harsh braking and geo-fence data. The kit is provided free to every approved driver.

How does the SOS button work?

One tap triggers: (1) call to campus security, (2) SMS with live GPS pin to your trusted contacts, (3) encrypted audio recording starts, (4) trip flagged in our 24/7 safety control room. Response time under 90 seconds on average.

How do you ensure drivers are safe?

Every driver is a verified student with a valid license, roadworthy vehicle, clean criminal record, and passed defensive-driving module. IoT sensors continuously monitor driving behaviour — three safety strikes and the account is suspended pending review.

Can my parents track my rides?

Yes — add up to 5 trusted contacts. They get a link (no app required) to watch your ride live, receive arrival notifications, and trigger SOS on your behalf if you don't respond.
